Library Art Display
The Cupertino Library Foundation along with the Library
have formed "The Cupertino Advisory Panel on the Exhibit of Art in the
Cupertino Library." In cooperation with the Advisory Panel, the Library
Foundation has committed resources to help sponsor various Art Displays
in the Library.
Current Art Display Artists (January 2011 - February 2011)
Tamar Assaf
Due to human activity, animal extinction rates are rising rapidly. Global warming, overexploitation of land and destruction of habitats create imbalanced ecosystems. Many animals no longer exist in the wild and are found only in zoos and reserves. Fragmental images are Tamar Assaf's way of documenting the loss of animals from the wild. Slava Shabrov
Slava is a self-taught artist with main interest in endless aspects of
nature – redwoods, wild and garden plants, rock formations, streams
and vistas. His specialty is breathtaking panoramas that bring the great
outdoors closer, encompassing the viewer. His photographs passionately
reveal the beauty of parks, preserves and gardens and remind us about
beauty that we often forget in our urban life. Artist website - www.shabrov.com.
